SUNDAY STORIES » CITY FAIR

Food.
You and your friends put your money together so you can get a taste of everything. I'm talking cotton candy, roasted cobs, helix chips and praline almonds. All followed by a 'All You Can Eat Pizza Tuesday' to extend the life of a day you don't want to end.

Everyone is out and enjoys foods and vintage looking stalls. Nobody ever really buys anything, children laughter fills the air as the sun is setting on the sea. That's the first day early teenagers can actually hang out by themselves, people watching and spending their pocket money on games they're never going to win. First kisses happen today, and shy looks to that guy you had an affair with which is over but not really.

Young hearts beat quick, teeth smiles shine bright under the first Spring sun. Then the evening comes and everybody puts their jackets on, and sits tight with their old friends or new loves, melanconia floating in the air because the day is over and tomorrow we all need to get back to our normal lives. Work, beeps, traffic and alarms early in the morning. We say bye to our friends and crawl back into our worlds, flashing a distant smile when we notice a flake of cotton candy on our jeans. A piece of magic coming from a universe that feels so far away now.
