THE 100TH POST » 10 THINGS BLOGGING / THE BLOGOSPHERE HAVE TAUGHT ME

Hey ho! It's the 100th post! Aren't you proud of me?
To celebrate this little milestone I'd like to share with you a few things I've learnt during my experience as blogger / reader (the latter being a much longer one). Here's to the next 100!

001. Beauty  perfection. I think one of the best things about bloggers is that they come is all shapes and sizes. The blogging world is very democratic from this point of view: fashion bloggers don't all have a model body and beauty icons aren't the typical blue eyed, blonde hair bombshells.

002. Moisture is life. Don't judge me: I'm a oily skin gal. I've never thought moisturizing was something I needed until I started reading about bloggers with a similar skin type to mine and realized how oily doesn't necessarily mean hydrated. Now that I moisturize daily my skin's happier and breakouts far less frequent. Thanks, bbloggers.

003. Fake nails. Before llymlrs.com entered into my life for me fake nails were synonyms of Jersey Shore and fake tan. Now I know fake nails can be a budget friendly way to get a quick and elegant mani, and also know how to apply them!

004. The brighter, the better. Here's a secret for you all: I hate editing pictures. Luckily I have two little friends, brightness & exposure, which always ensure me a clean, beautiful image, Suzie style.

005. Selfie confidence. I'm now 100% braver about putting my face on the internet, being it necessary to a beauty / fashion blog. This has given me a confidence in front of cameras that I seem to keep even when the photographer isn't my self timer. You just need to get used to it, I guess.

006. Taking outfit pictures is a nightmare unless you have a handsome bf / photographer to take them for you (I'm looking at you, Liv). This is why this blog is leaning more and more towards the beauty side and ootd posts are so rare these days: they just don't come out as I want and don't reflect the vibe of my blog I think. Big shoutout to who manages to daily take them by themselves, you rock!

007. Not a single shot. Have you ever watched a photoshoot behind the scenes video? If yes, you'll know that a million pictures would be taken just to get a couple to be published. Well, keep that in mind as you're taking your own snaps as a remind to don't put yourself down if they don't come out the way you wanted: you can simply take another one!

008. I'm a follower. My mom explains for half an hour the importance of a healthy diet? I won't give a thing. A blogger talks about that? I'm sold. Especially with products, if I see a post raving about something, I need it, if I see two, it's a death / life kinda thing. I'm not proud of that, but hey! bloggers' recommendations have yet to let me down.

009. Short & Sweet. Girl, I'm a writer. I could write about that new nail polish for four whole pages, but I know it can be a bit boring sometimes. I've learnt that it's always better to make a long story short, as my goal is, as a blogger, to keep readers interested. But what if you really need to say all that stuff? Just four letters, man: TLDR.

010. Whatever problem you have, coconut oil can solve it.
