MY SKINCARE ROUTINE

After years I'm finally in a point where I'm pretty happy with my skincare routine. It's pretty basic, and almost the same both for morning and evening, but this also means it's easy to stick to it and it's been a least six months since I've last slept with makeup on so whoop whoop!

Some of the products have a holy grail status for me and will forever be in my stash, but others are just ok and I'm still on the hunt, so who knows how my skincare routine it's gonna look in other 6-months time? Either way, I'll keep you updated!

» CLEANSE
  • In the mornings, first thing first I wash my face using the Lush Fresh Farmacy soap, which right now it's super gross hence why I won't show you. It has quite a milky texture and claims to be a blemish-eraser, but to be honest, I don't really see that. Anyway it feels nice, it's not super stripping and I've enjoyed it, I'm just still on the fence whether to buy it again or not.
  • In the evenings I start off my using my The Body Shop Chamomille Cleansing Oil, which I've already featured here. Nothing to say, I lurve it and breaks down all the make up. Incredible as first cleanser.
  • After the oil I usually go in with the infamous Bioderma. I did a review of it before and wasn't quite sure about it. By now I think it's great to take off everything that's left from the cleansing oil, but I wouldn't advise it as a first cleanser as I don't think it is as powerful as bloggers say.
» TONE
  • To tighten my pores I use the Lush Tea Tree Water, which is designed for oily skin. I like this one as I feel it really tones my skin and the tea tree oil has great antibacterial properties. Only downside is that the spritz is very watery so it's more like a squirt of toner in your face than a mist. This is why I usually spray it on my hands and then press it into my skin. Weird I know, but I've seen Estée doing it and saves a lot of cotton pads.
» MOISTURIZE
  • The Kihel's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado is the newest addition to my collection. I've never used a eye cream before but suffering from very bad dark circles and sensible eyes I knew I needed it in my life. Just like the Kihel's girl told me to do, I rub a tiny bit of cream between my fingers until it turns into a watery oil like consistency, then dab it under my eyes. I don't feel it heavy at all as my skin basically drinks this stuff, so I apply it both in the morning and evening. It's only been a week though, so I'll report to you when I'll have a better vision.
  • To finish off my skincare routine I apply the Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream which feels super hydrating but it's also very light. Plus, I love the smell of this stuff, as you can see here. This is maybe my favorite step in the whole routine, thank you New Zealand!
