NUXE TRAVEL KIT REVIEW
If there is something I adore, that's minis. Especially if they're in the same packaging of their parents but just smaller - look at that Huile Prodieuse, look at it!- so maybe I should've seen the purchase of this Nuxe Travel Kit coming.
I would definitely file this under 'Things I thought were indispensable for NYC but that I actually didn't need' even though I did got quite a use out of them to be fair, being perfect for one night outs as well. What is more, I've dipped my feet into Nuxe's five best-selling products without having to rob a bank. That's what I would call a win-win.
EAU DEMAQUILLANTE MICELLAIRE aka make up remover it's a nice rose scented liquid. I wouldn't describe it as the best make up remover out there (it can nothing against my waterproof mascara) but it does its job and it's a nice thing to have in your make up bag to be able to skip the bloggers' terrors wipes even when you're not sleeping in your own loving bed. One thing to say about it is that every time I use I spill a bit on the floor and then everything smells like roses, like overpowering granny roses. Every. Single. Time.
NUXELLENCE JEUNESSE is an anti-aging moisturizer and my favorite product of the bunch. It comes out in a weird nutty color but then it's obviously invisible on the skin and has a very light and enjoyable sweet and fresh scent. I've been using this everyday as my moisturizer as I'm waiting for a feelunique.com purchase to come - how slow is their delivering anyone?
HUILE PRODIGIEUSE : so famous and so cute in this mini size this is a dry oil you should be able to use everywhere from your body to your hair. Personally I've only tried it on my locks and I wasn't impressed: it didn't really did anything for my dry hair apart from making them look greasy and has a very strong scent that's a bit too grandma perfume for my likings. Anyway this now lives in my handbag for those 'Oh my god, my hair looks like a tumbleweed' days.
CREME FRAICHE DE BEAUTE is another moisturizer, but a little heavier since it claims to provides a 24h hydration. Even though this was my best friend on the plane I'm not the biggest fan of it in real life, mainly for its overwhelming scent that's a bit earthy and a bit - here we go again - grannish. If that's one thing I've learnt on Nuxe by this set is that they love to heavily scent their products with a strong sophisticated fragrance feel that I personally don't like in my skin care. Oh, and also that their products' names often have lots of stresses and weird symbols that I CBA to find out how to write in caps lock (sorry French people).
GEL DOUCHE FONDANT is a fancy way for saying shower gel. This claims to be a fine soap-free foam but to me it just looks like a shower gel way less foamy then usual due to the soap-free part - which in all honestly I really don't get: I mean, what's the problem with soap? -. This smells good: sweet and fresh and quite similar to the Nuxellence Jeunesse, but I wouldn't spend my money on it over your everyday super market shower gel.
