SNOG, MARRY, AVOID » MINT GREEN NAIL POLISH

If you think about mint green nail polish I bet Essie Mint Candy Apple is gonna pop into your mind straight away, but that 10€ price tag was something i really couldn't get over and so I never got the pleasure to add it to my collection. As the color was getting everyone's obsession, though, a millions variations of mint green polishes started popping up everywhere: here's (as Jack&Dean would say) the good, the bad and the just plain options you're offered.

SNOG » KIKO 389 LATTEMENTA
Snog it, song it real good and make it your lover for life because this is a really good one. With the best formulation of the three (opaque in one coat, super shiny and long lasting) this didn't make it to the aisle just for its color. The shade is beautiful, a true Tiffany blue (trust me on that: I own the little blue box and they match perfectly) which is slightly too vivid for today's trend of muted colors, but I've recently rediscovered it and on my toes it is da bomb (Added points: the name means minty milk which is so cute and reminds me of my childhood).

MARRY » RIMMEL 60 SECONDS BREAKFAST IN BED
As I said this was a close one but Breakfast in Bed is this year's winner for its slightly muted hue that in some lights looks almost white. Super quick drying, this is a 'two coats is good, but three is better' kinda polish with a quite good chipping resistance for its price. HelloOctober's Suzie's favorite I have to admit it has dressed my nails quite a lot this summer. Oh, and... Breakfast in Bed is a reference to Breakfast at Tiffany's, right? Right?!

AVOID » ESSENCE 146 THAT'S WHAT I MINT!
The name is cute, the shade is on point, the formula is rubbish. It looks like paint and at the end of the day you'll hardly have any of it left on your nails, because it has fallen off just like old dry plaster. But I guess you get what you pay for, right?
