& OTHER STORIES BELLEVILLE BAKERY BODY SOUFFLÉ

I bought this the glorious day I discovered & Other Stories had opened a store in Rome and have been impatiently waiting for Spring to bust it out.


You already know I love these Body Soufflès, but I must say Belleville Bakery isn't my favorite. I did have some super high expectations, due to its name and the description 'Tangy lemon juice melting into creamy vanilla' (Hmm, my mouth waters just typing this) but this kinda let me down. The scent is sweet but a little too artificial for my taste and not as delicate as I expected it to be. I wanted the hearthy and powdery smell of a French bakery on Sunday morning, but I was left with some kinda H&M vanilla thing.

As always, though, the product is amazing, moisturizing and softening as nothing else and rather cheap given its incredible quality. I also bet there are people who would go crazy for this scent, but it's just not my cup of tea and not their best fragrance in my opinion.
I yet have to hunt down something better than my beloved Punk Bouquet, apparently...
