THE RETURN OF MATTE NAILS

I think the best way to rock matte nails is to invest in a matte top coat. Mine is super cheap and from Essence but it's effective, though it wears off after a couple days. It's quite fast drying and leaves my nails super smooth and flat.

Here I'm pairing it with the beautiful Urban Outfitters Art School, a chalky baby blue that has hints of grey and white. Though it's a pastel, it is quite muted and especially with the matte finish I think it's amazing in the colder months.

I'm also excited to pair this finish with burgundy, taupe and grey, not to mention the classic black. I'm thinking about matte white as the perfect winter nails as well. I'm so happy this trend is back. Really the easiest way to spice up a plain manicure!
