WHAT'S IN MY GETAWAY MAKE UP BAG

This weekend I'm going on a mini trip with a friend of mine and I thought it would be fun to show you what I'm bringing with me make up wise (which also gives me a reason to align all my make up using a ruler satisfying my inner OCD needs).


As you can see I'm still far away from the perfect getaway minimal makeup thing but I swear I did my best to narrow things down and still feel like I have everything I will possibly need in those next two days.

So, let's start off with a primer. I don't wear primers on a daily bases but when I'm going away I always like to have one with me as I know I'll probably be out and about all day and I'd like to still look like a human once the evening approaches, this is why I've packed my 1Baby Skin primer (see my thoughts about it here), which paired with the 2Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum - a medium coverage foundation with a demi matte finish - and the good ol' 3Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer blended with the 4Real Techiniques Pointed Foundation Brush should do the trick and give me a 'I'm not a zombie, promise' look.

To keep me from looking like a less sparkling Jasper Cullen I've also packed the 5Sleek Contour Kit and the 6Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace palettes that should cover me on the bronzer / blush front and are gonna get on my face thanks to a little help from the 7Real Techiniques Buffing Brush.

Now onto the eyebrows, I'm still looking for a pencil / gel hybrid that I like so for now I'm gonna stick with the good ol' eyeshadow + 9angled brush duo and packed with me my 8Sephora mini palette just for this purpose (it also holds a couple more shadows which never hurts).

I know it's not the wisest thing to pack a whole palette but the 10UD Naked 3 has barely left my lids since I got it for Christmas and I'm not ready to change this now, what is more it also allows me to bring one extra brush. For a bit extra definition to my eyes I've chose a - tan tan taaan - liquid eyeliner. I'm quite liking 11this one from Essence lately which is weird since I used to hate it before. I'd recommend to always bring a 12little black pencil as well for days in which you don't really feel like doing the catflick. Travel also gives me the opportunity to dust out this super cute 13mini Benefit They're Real! and I'm definitely not gonna miss  it.

Now we're at the lips which is where it may look like I've overpacked, but you can't really leave your house without a 14nude (Revlon Matte Balm in Complex), a 15pink (YSL Kiss&Blush in 09 Rose Epicurien, review here), a 16coraly (Topshop Lips in Oh La La) and a 17red (Rimmel Kate Moss in 107) lip option, can you?
