L'OREAL PARIS LUMI MAGIQUE PURE LIGHT PRIMER REVIEW

I've never been a primer girl: I just can't get my head around why I should buy something to make my €40 worth foundation do what it should be already doing, but then I got some samples of the UD eye primers and I was blown away by the fact that my cat flick lasted 24 hours without even smudging a bit. Then I realized that a face primer could not also make my foundation last longer, but also protect my skin from every nasties that could be in the aforementioned foundation, and so I decided I needed one.

The first ever primer I bought was the L'Oréal Paris Base Concentré De Lumière Pure Light Primer (longest name ever) and I wasn't very impressed. I wasn't expecting from a €10 product a high end quality, but still. The primer comes out in a pearly white cream that feels really thick when smeared, making it hard to blend it. It leaves the skin feeling quite smooth but also with a sorta iridescent finish to it, which is weird, and the product itself smells pretty funny, definitely not like something you would like to slap on your face.

I haven't noticed any significant extension of my foundation life while using this, or any ease in applying my makeup whatsoever. I'm can't even see it enhancing my radiance, which should've been its main effect, being the Pure Light Primer.

Overall I'm not happy with this product (even though I think I can still try to make it work mixing it with my foundation or as a highlighter, which with its pearly finish could be quite interesting.) and I wouldn't recommend it as a primer.
And so the hunt continues...
