ITATUBE 2014 » ROUND UP
Hey guys, this is my last post about ItaTube, I promise, I just wanted to do a kinda huge TLDR post to sum up those four days!
Before starting I just want to clear out those are my personal impressions and opinions, which doesn't mean they're necessarily right or wrong, but please respect them.
»MY FAVOURITE PARTS
- TFIOS Panel with Troye Sivan » there were just a bunch of people, everyone was calm, everyone was there to enjoy a little chat about TFIOS, Troye's been great and nice and funny, it was my favorite part of the whole convention and how I think all YouTube conventions should be: just a few people chatting about what they love, and some of them may happen to be super famous YouTubers!
- The serious stalking meeting » I'm gonna insert it here because that's the part I'm the most proud of: I mean, I got to know where they were at from a freaking napkin!
- The Miraculous Meeting » I don't think I have to explain this one: I met my favorite YouTubers by chance while I was having a drink, what's better than that?
»MY REGRETS
- Not having a picture with Troye Sivan » it just doesn't feel right that I actually talked to him but I don't have a selfie to prove it.
- Not having a picture of me and my fav YouTubers wearing the pizza flower crowns » we worked so hard on those ones! I'm just hoping Jim is giving them to all the YouTubers and they will eventually take a selfie with them on!
- The whole second day at the convention » I've wasted a whole day queuing for nothing. I don't know if it could've gone differently, but at least I could've been sitting and my feet wouldn't hurt.
»WHAT I'VE LEARNT
- Meet Up's are not so cool » what's the point in having a picture with someone if you hardly had spoken to them at all? The cool thing about a picture are the memories that comes with it, so I think I'll spend my next convention watching panels or Q&As instead of desperately queuing for a photo.
- The back door » if you wait there, you'll meet your favorite YouTubers without any queue or drama. You will be able to have a chat or to take a selfie that will actually have a story behind it.
» WHO SHINED THE MOST
- Tyler Oakley » he's such a humble and nice person. He did so many extra signings, Q&As, panels and meet up's he was seriously always on some stage. He gave 140% in this convention and he's seriously one of those people that are so much better once you knew them than before. And in his YouTube videos he comes through as an amazing person, so...
- Joe Sugg » that little cheeky monkey. He stopped for a chat with us that day we met him as they were going clubbing, he took selfies with everyone way after his meet up was over and he kept taking selfies even once he was out the building and he had to take a taxi, so much Louise had to tell him to stop it or they were never going to leave!
- Jim Chapman » just like Joe, he stopped, he hugged us, he recognized us, he took selfies once his meet up was over. He's been just a truly gentleman, and he's very tall.
That's everything for this year's ItaTube, I hope I didn't bored you all to death!
Let's pray I'll be able to attend this convention next year as well, because at the end of the day it was a beautiful experience.
Now onto another adventure!
