MY TAKE ON GOTHIC SHOES

You can ask whoever, but I'll never be described as a gothic girl.
It's not that I'm not fascinated by platinum hair or lip piercings, but they're just not my thing, and even when I had darker hair, a heavy fringe and black tips, I was still all frilly and girly with my pink lipstick and Abercrombie cardigan.

But if you're interested in fashion just little bit, you've probably noticed how even the most classic designers, from Whistles to Prada, finished off their looks with black chunky Frankenstein-ish shoes, that, just like tattoos and smoky eyes had done before, have left the 'only for scene kid' room to fall in everyone's closet.

» DR. MARTENS LIKE OXFORD SHOES
Big platform and shiny leather make them gothic, scalloped inserts and round tips give a girly touch and the fact that they're still Oxford shoes makes them British and classy. I got them from a local boutique at 27€ but you can invest a good 100 bucks on an original pair if you want.
Nice to wear in Spring with rolled up jeans and a peter pan collar shirt. Think killer doll gone hipster.

» CUT OUT CHUNKY BOOTS
Looks a million times better on than in the box. With their square tips and croc like leather they're very gothic, but that's why I love 'em. The heel heigh is just perfect and super comfortable.
They look cheap, they feel cheap, they are cheap (via eBay for a 30€) but I have a soft spot for things that lays right between being eccentric and being kitsch so it's ok (think Paul's Boutique bags).
Oh and cut out boots are huuuge this season so make sure you've got your hands on one of them ASAP.

Ps: in this post I said bad things about the shoe seller on eBay. They did not answered my email and my shoes arrived very late but I've received them eventually so everything's ok and I apologize for speaking my mind too soon.
Hope we're good.
