2015 STYLE RESOLUTIONS
» EFFORTLESS IS THE KEY
I've always been the kinda girl who preferred to be overdressed than casual. Lately, though, I found I don't feel as comfortable as I used to in a pair of heels and girly skirts anymore, so this year I have decided I'm gonna try (try!) and channel the infamous off duty model look, opting for ripped jeans and boyfriend shirts even for night outs.
» BE A BASIC B*TCH
This year I really want to learn the art of the basics, and how to look super cool even when I'm only wearing a plain white tee. I feel like it's a lot harder to put together something that's interesting and eye catching when you avoid bright patterns or novelty items (like cat shoes, for which I am willing to break the rules, though) but I accept the challenge!
» PLAY MORE WITH ACCESSORIES
If I am wearing mostly basics, I need to learn how to work with accessories and spice things up a bit. Usually I'm too lazy to add a necklace or two, but I know it is what really makes the difference!
» STRUCTURE OVER PRINTS
Yes, I am that kind of girl. The one whose eyes are caught by a print or a color and before she realizes that she's at the till. This year I want to focus on how clothes fit and feel, so thumbs up for soft items that drape beautifully on the body, even if I have to spend a bit more on them!
» PLAN ON TIME
Every time something big is coming up I put off the outfit hunt until the very last moment (not even kidding, remember what happened on my birthday?). This year I want to be more organized, plan my outfits in advance and give me the time to adjust them and make them perfect, not to mention to asos orders to arrive!
» JUST GO FOR IT
Flash back to the end of the Summer I said I needed a new pair of ankle boots and a new bag, now it's almost mid January and I still haven't bought any of them. I've been stressing over the same pair of shoes for months now, pondering wether it would be a good idea or not to buy them, and in the meanwhile a good four months I could've used to break down their cost per wear have flown by. I do this all the time, but this year I want to break the circle.
» ACTIVE DOESN'T MEAN SHABBY
Lastly, I want to update my workout wardrobe. I do find quite hard finding inspirations or nice fitness clothes, to be honest, but I'm determined to find my style even in this 'department' and to rock it good. No more old faded t-shirts for me, please!
