GIFT WRAP IDEAS » THAT ONE BOTTLE OF WINE...

Calling out to all the late birds who still have some presents to wrap - I don't judge you (said the girl who just finished printing tags for her gifts). I think when it comes to presents the harder to wrap are bottles. Be it wine or any other fancy liquid it's ok to give, I always struggle if I leave out the classic wine bag option (which 1. I don't like, 2. it's hella expensive).

So I was scrolling through on Pinterest (the place where all the great ideas are) when I came across this. Falling head over heels for the geniality and cuteness of the idea, I decided to give it a go, making it a little simpler and more 'covering', so that the surprise will still be there!

Here's how  »
  1. Start with the hat: cut out a triangle shape from a colored piece of cardboard, then wrap it around the bottle - this will ensure the hat fits - to create a cone and secure it with some tape.
  2. Now simply take some wrapping paper and wrap it around the bottle body. Secure it on the back and bottom.
  3. For the beard: cut out a U shape that's a little more pointy from a sheet of simple white paper. Create some little cuts around the edges using scissors - this will give the beard a fuzzy look. Now stick it on the 'dress' using a piece of double faced tape.
  4. Now onto the tricky part: the nose. Here you should go a little creative, my friends. I took a piece of cotton and wrapped it in some flesh colored tulle I had hanging around. Finally, I stuck it on the bottom of the hat using hot glue.
There you go! Also, remember that you can turn the gnome into a little Santa just by using some red for the hat.

Merry Christmas!
