FOREVER REPURCHASING » BAREMINERALS MINERAL FOUNDATION

If you're a beauty addicted, you'll know how it is: there is always something new to try, something different to experiment with, and so if finishing up a product is rare, going out and buying it again is nearly extraordinary. But sometimes it happens, sometimes you find something that is just so good you don't even question putting it into your basket anymore, they're the forever repurchasing products, and here I let you know what are mine.

Maybe this is a cheat, because though I did repurchase the bareMinerals foundation, the second time I bought it in a different color and different finish. The problem with the color was that my first one was too pink (C25 medium, now I have N20 medium beige which is just perfect), but the fact that I did used it all up even though the color was wrong should really tell you something.

The bareMinerals mineral foundation is one of those multitasking products, and over the years I've used it in several different ways: as a powder, as an all over foundation, to set my concealer, to touch up my make up during the day. Its super build-able coverage makes it very versatile: if you buff it in with a big brush it's light to medium, but if you really pack it on, say on a blemish, it's almost concealer heavy.

My first pot was the matte version, which I really liked, but then I went with the original one. The Matte one is higher coverage, but sometimes can look a bit caky if you go overboard. Also, it was a bit too matte for me (which obviously I should have expected given the name) but it's a great one if you're after an absolutely no-shine finish. The Original one is a little bit lighter and more comfortable to wear, and the finish is amazing. It's luminous but not dewy, so forget the 'maybe I'm radiant, maybe I'm sweaty' effect YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat or Rimmel Wake Me Up give, and think about a very natural real model glow from within kinda thing. I think this is why I love it so much: being an oily gal I thought I was sentenced to matte finish for life, but since this is a mineral powder, it gives me that light without making me look shiny.

At around 30€ they're not cheap, but definitely worth it. They have SPF 15, all natural mineral ingredients and last seriously ages, think about 3 years! I think the real star is the Original one, as I'm just obsessed with it, and would be amazing whatever skin type you have, from dry to oily. The Matte one is outstanding as well, though, and it's the one if you're looking for a super matte foundation, with a good coverage that feels very comfortable to wear anyway.

Anyway I can already see me repurchasing it for the third time once I run out... luckily I still have a couple years to go, even if I buff it on like there's no tomorrow!
