The problem with cleansing masks is that they strip the skin. Ok, so it is not actually that much a problem if you just have to head to bed or if you happen to have oily skin, which is quite common for spot prone skins, but if, like me, your skin is completely messed up and you suffer at the same time from spots and dryness, well, that's another story.

I bought this the glorious day I discovered & Other Stories had opened a store in Rome and have been impatiently waiting for Spring to bust it out.

You know those products you kinda find in your cupboard without even knowing where they're from or ever remembering when or if you bought them? Well, this Blistex Lip Relief Cream was one of those.

Featuring #GirlBoss, a couple books turned movies and a hipster Murakami number.

Here we are with the second issue of 5 Books I've Read! Click here if you missed the first one and get ready for some Spring books reviews coming at ya at 3, 2, 1!

There was a time, a handful of months ago, where the it product in the beauty world wasn't even a beauty product.
Despite the fact you couldn't find it in the Sephora halls, it was so hyped up it was one of the things I wanted to pick up in New York, and after my first ever stroll through the hipster paradise that's Whole Foods, I finally became the proud owner of the most commented thing of 2014: Coconut Oil.

Not gonna write any inspiring ish this time and not gonna put my hopes up too high. Honestly, I just want to enjoy April. I want to have pic nics with my friends and wear flower crowns and find a balance between my desire of getting back in shape for Summer and the huge amount of chocolate I am going to be buried by when Easter comes. Also, let's throw in some blooming flowers and fresh winds for some good measure.
Brace yourself for a thousands pictures of peonies invading the Instagram: Spring is coming.

Um... Hello?
Long time no see, uh? Weirdly, I feel my hands shaking as I'm typing this, as I'm doing this thing I've put off for far too much time. During said time, I tried to not even think about blogging. I tiptoed around this topic like it was a pile of smelling poo on the sidewalk and tried to pretend I was fine with this break, when actually, I wasn't.
I love blogging and I'm proud of my blog. I'm proud of my improvements and, though not such big things, I'm also proud of everything I've achieved.
I guess coolest people would call this blog a memoir, I just see it as a creative outlet, a hobby I've kept doing for over a year now and that I'm not planning on quitting anytime soon.

New Year's resolutions are always the same: eating healthier, drinking more water, reading more. Now, I'm still finding my way around the first ones, but having read four books just in the month of January, I thought I had the skills to give you advice on how to become a more eager reader. And even if I don't, well, ya know the drill, I'll give you advice anyway...

So, on Friday, I turned 19.
A part from scaring me to death, because this is my last year as a teenager and I already feel old, it was awful.

If you've been following me for a long time, you'd know I would have never ever spent 8€ on that pot of sugar Lush dares to call 'Lip Scrub'. Bare in mind I'm not saying it doesn't work, just that I don't think it's worth the money.
When sales season swung around, though, I managed to get a pot of Bubblegum for half price and those are my thoughts about it.

I've always loved being born in February. I feel like it is a unique club to be part of, since it is the shortest month, a club I'm so happy people like Lauren, Harry and Ed are part of, too. Also, Aquarius kids are meant to be very creative and they have the coolest tune out of all the zodiac signs.
You know how it is when you feel like the whole month your birthday is in belongs to you, regardless   of if you were born on the 1st or on the 20th? Those are obviously my feelings towards February, with the difference that I really want it to be my month this time. If in November I found out what I wanted (kinda) in February I want to get it done. I want to work my ass off and actually achieve something concrete. And I'm gonna do it, 'cause it is my month.
It's my month.

Here we are at our second Forever Repurchasing post! Aren't you proud? Ok so, all the products featuring this category are obviously my favorites, but this one, the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob is something else. Like I had a mini - ok, proper - panic attack one day when I couldn't find it. Like if I had done a 2014 favorites, this would have taken the crown. Like it's becoming my signature lip. Like everyone loves it and compliments me on it. And I'm here to tell you why it is so good.

I think smelling nice is one of the biggest pleasures in life. There is no compliment I enjoy more receiving than 'You smell so good' so I have been on the hunt for the perfect fragrance for quite a while now. After rummaging through all the Sephoras and fellows I came across, I realized I don't like traditional high street scents: they all smell a bit too... like perfume. Maybe it's the alcohol in them, I don't know, but I remember smelling Tom Ford Black Orchid and almost gagging for how bad it was.

When Suzie did this I was like 'Yeah', then Lily jumped on the band wagon as well and I thought it was about time I'd write down my New Year's Style Resolutions as well.

rimmel 60 seconds » WHITE HOT LOVE

White is beautiful: I love it in the Summer and I love it in the Winter. Crisp white boyfriend shirts and chunky ivory knitted sweaters are currently filling my dreams, but a good way to incorporate the lightest shade into your look is by putting it onto your nails, which is something I'm loving at the moment.
I know some people can find white nails a bit OTT, though, so here's a quick guide on how to rock them without falling into the kitsch hole.

» THE RIGHT LENGHT
With such a statement block color the length of your nails is really important: too short can make your fingers look a bit stubby, while too long may not appear very classy. File or grow your nails so that they maximum stick out of your fingertips of one mm, this way white will elongate your fingers and you'll have a very classy look.

» DARE TO SQUARE
To me, iron shape nails + white polish = Ariana Grande. If the Break Free's singer is not your number one style icon, you can keep everything a bit more subtle and elegant by opting for a more natural nail shape, like square.

» THE MATTE EFFECT
If you want to make your alabaster talons appear a bit more modern and interesting, there is nothing better than a matte top coat. Perfect to refresh Summer pastels and subtle your look even more, it will add a unique twist to your snow colored nails.
